Petit AA, Kenya
Best Suited for Filter
Tasting Notes: Lime and White Nectarine
Produced by Peter Kugi Ndugo, this lot was grown in the foothills of the extinct volcano Mt Kenya. The region’s bright red, nutrient-rich soils and cool climates are ideal for growing exceptional coffee. Peter has carefully overseen every step of the production of this mixed variety lot, from farming to processing at his own wet mill on site. This approach requires significant investment but has paid off in higher prices received for excellent cup quality. Ripe, handpicked cherries are pulped and dry fermented for 36 hours to remove the fruit. The coffee is then washed and soaked for a further 24 hours to further improve acidity, before slowly drying on raised beds. A reflection of the commitment that has gone into producing it, this coffee is incomparably sweet, with delicate florals and a vibrant acidity. Enjoy using your favourite filter method.
